How to you pray? Do you pray every day?

I pray by folding my hands , i also sometimes use prayer bread

I do not pray everyday. But to pray everyday shall be my goal

Or do you have other rituals?

This is prayer bread:

I don't pray.

I meditate every day during Brahmamuhurta. I sit on my chair with an ottoman in front of me in the cross legged position facing my shrine with my eyes closed or slightly open, spine straight, face slightly lifted, and mind still.

For me, prayer ranges from a conversation with my God to requests to declaring the will of God as an ambassador. We start the day in our bed with a prayer of thanksgiving, thanking God for the day and what the day will bring. So we pray "always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;" and other types.

I converse with God or a particular deity for a particular reason. I just talk to them. I don't use formulaic prayers except in my "formal" Hindu worship called puja, which I do (almost) every day. It consists of mantras, offerings and short hymns. When I converse with God(s) it's in English, my native language. When I do puja, it's in Sanskrit, the Hindu liturgical language. These are all chanted.

If by "prayer" we mean connecting with the gods?

Usually simple mindfulness, sometimes combined with channeling the flow of Nwyfre. For a Druid like me, that means stepping outside and connecting with the flows of below/earth/root/then, above/sky/leaf/when and here/landscape/trunk/now. Focused breathing, precise and deliberate gesture, and threefold repeats are part of what I've been practicing lately. It works even when inside, but outside is better. Then simple observing, watching, being, witnessing the that-which-is-greater all around me.

I’ve always considered prayer to be a petition to deities, whether prescribed or impromptu.
That's fair. In my studies, supplication has been described as only one of the types of prayer. Honestly, I don't tend to use the word "prayer" at all in my practice because for some reason I can't shake associating it with religious traditions that are not my own. Not sure if I should work on that at some point, or if that work is even needed.

Nice! Are those yours?

Sometimes I use prayer beads, sometimes formal a formal set up. Most often I pray informally, addressing whatever God/dess/figure it is I want to talk to.

It is wise to pray in the morning like you do

I pray when I feel moved to. I praise the Gods, thank them, ask them for things I need, protection, etc. Just talk. I refer to Thor as Old Friend and Odin as Allfather. I offer them what little bit I have, usually a bit of beer. Can't go wrong with that. When I'm not so tied down with bills, I'm going to set up an altar, with statues and so on.

in my prayers I always like to express gratitude because I have been given so many spiritual gifts unasked and so however meagre words may be I try to thank God but I heard that the best way to thank God is to love one another. So prayers and kind thoughts coming your way.

Praying includes both formal and informal prayer- being a Muslim I pray formally, 5 times a day in the prescribed manner. But informal prayer is an ongoing emotional encounter that doesnt need any rituals or formalities, and can be done as often and as conveniently one can

I use prayer as a time for introspection and "rubber duck debugging." I have no particular pose or gesture. I simply turn within.

I am an atheist, so I am skeptical of the idea that any being is actually listening to my prayers. Instead, they are most often directed toward a facet of my psyche that I identify with the inner Logos. It helps me to construct a dialogue with myself in order to view my own line of thought more objectively or to feel like I am being heard by someone, even if that someone is myself.
