That's an excellent point. It's too bad that there ISN'T some kind of test that had to be passed in order to be a parent. I know some people who wouldn't have qualified! (Not my parents, though. But what Johnny said about having kids and raising them to be good people to counteract the bad ones....I take it, then, that you believe it's a question of nurture instead of nature that makes up whether a person will turn out "good" or "bad"?
Also, doesn't that distinction (good vs. bad) depend on what belief structure you have? Isn't morality based on a person's religious beliefs?
