How would the universe be different if God were omnimalevolent instead of omnibenevolent?

All of us (theists, atheists and others) share this universe.

Here is a question for theists (others can jump in as well)

How would the universe, in general, and our life on earth, in particular, be different if your God were omnimalevolent instead of omnibenevolent as you believe he is?

Please provide specific examples of things that would be different, instead of arguing in generalities.

Thank you!

With an omnimalevolent deity, you don't run into the problem of evil (bad things happen to good people) you run into the problem of good (good things happen to good people and bad people)

I'm an atheist but:

If there was a malevolent, personal god, the universe would be hellish, not only that but there would be no heaven, only hell.

True, likewise -

If there was a benevolent, personal god, the universe will be heavenish, not only that but there would be no hell, only heaven.

Really? Because were I an all powerful malevolent deity, I'd give people lots of good things and then take them away so they would be tormented by the memory and idea of better things.

In some ways an indifferent God would be worse than a malevolent one though. At least with an evil hateful being, you know where you stand.

Exactly, so God has to be neutral by default

Pretty much, but were I an omnibenevolent deity I'd give people the occasional misfortune and some bad things so that they'd relize how good they have it.

But that's just if YOU were an omnibenevolent deity :D

I think the question, "How would the universe be different if God were omnimalevolent instead of omnibenevolent?" makes an unwarranted assumption that god is omni-benevolent. Considering the reports of his deeds in the Bible, creating evil being a real biggy, he certainly doesn't come across as being any kind of benevolent, much less omni-benevolent.

To be truly omnimalevolent you could still create but keep everyone in hell without them really knowing it's hell. A slow type of torture that I would call earth.

If God were malevolent we would strive to be hateful, deceitful and evil, instead of compassionate, loving, and kind.

I owe you frubals for one of the better threads to be started recently.
