I need seven more conversions on my Jesus card before I get the new "big time gospel preacher" award at my church, and I have already knocked on all of the doors and igloos in Alaska. So, I have been forced to either find alternate means of finding people to convert, or go to Canada. I don't want to go to Canada.

Seriously though, I am happy to be somewhere that genuinely kind people congregate to talk about issues that most people are afraid of. It broadens the horizens of the mind.

I'm here because most people I come in contact with consider these kinds of discussions to be a bunch of boring sh*t or they really don't want to think about it that much.

I guess I've found a bunch of thought geeks to hang with!

Faust.
I guess that's what I've found too; but I'm not sure about the 'Geeks' bit!:)

our bingo attendance has been a little low in the past few months since the smoking ban here in W. Massachusetts.
Theres a smoking ban for Indianapolis, IN thats somewhere in the senate, burried beneath piles of red tape. Colts home game attendace might be low if its passes. Ouch, that means we might lose Egde.

Im here just just to discuss all the threads that interest me, which is alot of them.

a, b, c and d for me. I am comfortable with my beliefs yet I feel I am in totally new territory constantly so I could hardly say that I am very sure of them. I nearly didn't tick b because I don't want to convert people to something similar to what I believe. However, I interpreted to mean whether I enjoyed that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you meet another person who has followed the same path as you have and reached the same conclusions, which I most certainly do :).

One added bonus of posting on this forum is that my essay writing has gone through the roof in terms of grades which I am certain is down to the massive amount of practice I get from writing persuasively and experimenting with new techniques in my responses to all the thought provoking ideas that get thrown around here. Also it has helped me get into the habit of checking my work before submitting it, something that I was very, very lazy at before and which certainly cost me a few marks here and there.

I must admit, my primary goal is to teach the Baha'i Faith. As it turns out, though, in order to effectively teach someone about your religion you must understand theirs; so I'm also here to learn. In any case, it's just great to be able to connect with a bunch of people who enjoy serious discussions about religion as much as I do (and also like to have fun now and then).

I went with A but I thought this was more a how do I act kinda thing. So with that. I am comfortable with my beliefs and I am comfy with your beliefs. But say something I don't agree with or I find stupid and I am gonna call you on it. In a respectul, no bull**** kinda way, because being direct is not flaming.:)
