If you could edit the rules so that they would be clearer to you as a member, which part or parts would you reword or expand?

In other words, from your perspective as a member of RF, what do you think would be a modification to the rules that would help members avoid inadvertently violating them?

I think the rules are as clear as they can get. I don't like some of them but that isn't because I don't understand them.

Where they are ambiguous, like the misuse of the "funny" frubal, it is not because of the wording but because it references intention - which can't be judged objectively, no matter how precise the wording.
Maybe a few example, especially if taken from real misunderstandings, could help. (As could public moderation as that would give examples to everyone. But since you aren't going to do that, maybe you could report on recent rulings in an anonymised way? Especially if these misunderstandings are frequent.)

The rules are clear and precise enough for me to understand, i assume most people have similar views if they read them

I do find that quite a few members have not read the rules so maybe a quick overview on the sign up page that should be accepted before signing up. Or a link to to the rules with acceptance required.

Im not sure if the link already exists, its been a while since i signed up.

Oh, and a new rule is required "don't **** off ChristineM

I just changed my mind. We use **** all the time relying on the software to **** it out. How about "bypassing the forum obscene language filters or promoting/advocating [illegal] violence"?
