Howdy From Aussie Muslim

Man!! I wasnt debating, Mr said

Hey, how about peace for those of us on the wrong path?

and I wasnt talking seriously, if I knew it would take this road I would have changed my tone. But since it already happened then let me explain it more seriously:

Im sure my path is the right one (thats my opinion, you dont have to adhere to it) ; and the people who chose the same religion are my brothers and sisters, while I respect others and treat them with the best of manners however I dont have feelings of love and affection towards them. I wish for them to be on the truth, thats why I explain it to them: if they accept, they'll become from my bros and sis, if they dont it will sadden me a bit that they wont taste the sweetness of faith but I wont make a big deal from it.

To sum up, who wants peace (Islam in my opinion) will have it. Those who refuse it, then I dont see a reason why I should say: Peace be upon those who follow the wrong path.EDIT:(unless they say it, then read the PS)

And for those who felt confused, then I think its because you may have chosen the wrong place to start a debate.

PS; if a non muslim tells you peace be upon you, a muslim is supposed to answer back:"and on you too"

Revoltingest,

Hey, how about peace for those of us on the wrong path?
We need peace too.

Peace comes through following right guidance. So I have given peace to you, possibly in the future, when you embrace right guidance, by the will of God.

I won't press this too much, but I'm still confused. Is the wishing of peace actually the wishing that I
become a Muslim, ie, the only path to peace of the soul? I take no offense....just trying to understand.

Yes true peace can only be attained through submission to the commands of the one true God, or Islam in Arabic, a word which itself is derived ultimately from the primitive Semitic root meaning peace (salam).

You may well have a different concept of peace to us, and that's probably the cause of your confusion.

I'm just generally in a state of confusion & ignorance, trying to figure it all out.
That's my path. Lame it is, but it works for me.

Shalom Zardoz, or as Moses (pbuh) would've said "Salaam", prior to Hebrew's modifications of the original Semitic word for peace.
