I am a religiously confused, anxiety-ridden tenth grader

The title was a warning, just so we're clear.

My name is Sarah, but I will also respond to Eli (preferred) and Pantsky. I've been bouncing around religions (or lack thereof) for a while, but nothing seems to quite fit properly. I think it's more important to be at peace with yourself and with the earth than with a deity, if that makes sense. It's pretty basic, and that's why I'm here, to find ways to expand on that. I've been looking into non-theistic Paganism, but I'm really mostly here to ask questions as I think of them and gain more understanding of different religions.

As for myself, I'm uncomfortably awkward and annoyingly pretentious. I like artsy stuff. And dogs.

That's it.

Awww yiss!!! Someone else from 10th grade!

But I can agree with you mostly when you said "I think it's more important to be at peace with yourself and with the earth than with a deity, if that makes sense". For the most part, I'm pretty sure everyone on RF fits the last line :D

Welcome to the boards!

Hi there, and welcome. What are some of the religions you've explored so far, if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome, Eli.

Sometimes having good questions are better than having the correct answer.
I hope you enjoy your time here.

I wish I could remember 10th grade. But I do remember going to Chattanoogie multiple times for incredibly old-people-style family vacations, I wish I could forget that. :D

Welcome to RF.

I think it is a good sign that you are looking around to find your truth. About not fitting in. As Krishnamurti said “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”
