I believe in Simulation Theory

This puts me at odds with religious folk

I believe in a Supreme Being

This puts me at odds with atheist folk

I therefore think that I should try and fit in with "spiritual but not religious" folk

I think that is the way forward for me :D

Hey now, I'm an atheist and I don't have any problem with deists or "spiritual but not religious types." Depending on definitions, I could arguably call myself spiritual but not religious.

Anyway, I'm glad you're moving forward on your journey of self-discovery!

As a spiritual anti-theist it seems our beliefs are close, but not exactly aligned. But I really support that part of your stance that says: "spiritual but not religious" - hooray!

Just be you. :)

Don't worry so much about a label; its only words.

Don't worry about fitting in anywhere. Stay true to yourself(and acknowledge that who you are will change).

Besides, you can fit in with those of us who don't fit in anywhere. :D

Since this melting-pot country has become a country that operates as a free-religious marketplace, especially since there is so much religious immigration that has changed and shifted the religious landscape, the market place offers one to disengage being distrustful about Jesus' teachings, thus Not being affiliated but being spiritual but not religious.
A new style that is inside of a person instead of looking inside of Jesus' teachings - Matthew 24:14.
A new-style transformation with a broader spectrum of pick-and-choose concerns such as environment (Earth Day worship) disease concerns, etc. issues too BIG to now handle - Luke 21:11; Revelation 6:8.
This new-age style is a factor as to why 'religious waters' (people) are religiously and spiritually drying up.
