it's been awhile since I was here last.
how are you doing?

It's day by day. Better though. I've given an update recently and I feel too lazy to write it again or to link it. Feel free to scroll up if you like details. :)

Update:

Feeling and sensations are back completely. I feel everything all the time. Now finely tuned function is the impairment I'm working on. My right side, right hand, fingers, toes, ribs, face just feels so stiff now. Yoga helps. So I continue doing yoga as my main exercise regimen.

I've become more acclimated to my meds and accept the small-sized pharmacy that is keeping me alive at the moment. It was difficult to accept it at first, but now I'm thankful for modern medicine...who knows where I'd be without them during my recovery?

It's a leap forward and happened suddenly. My mind is also noticeably sharper again, and I no longer find verbalizing some words difficult. It's easier to speak without having to focus so much on articulating my words, though the right side of my face feels stiff, I can control it better because of the return of sensation.

I'll be going to the doctor again on Tuesday. My BP has thus far stablized, but we're keeping an eye on it still. And I was informed that my risk of second stroke is now roughly the same as anybody else (I'm not high risk anymore)....as long as I continue doing what I'm doing, of course. Lab work will be done again next month to check liver function and cholestorol levels.

I'm very very happy to be able to feel sensation though on my right side. Side effects of medication still get in the way, but much better than the alternative.
