I am so confused. Should I keep the Sabbath?

I am so confused. I do not know what to do about the Sabbath. Part of me wants to keep the Sabbath but part of me is saying that it does not matter. I have no idea what to do. I need help. Please back of your position with Scripture.

Are you using the word "Sabbath" to mean the seventh day of the week or to mean the Lord's Day (i.e. Sunday)?

Try keeping one 7th day Sabbath as proscribed with no labor or cooking or worldly activity, see if you notice a physical sensation of peace that you get from no other day.

No, the Lord's day is clearly referenced in the early Christian writings as separate from Sabbath. Many Jews don't know that we are actually to keep the First day as a day of community gathering.

Do as you wish. It's recommendable that you set a side a day in the week for the worship of God only but remember Mark 2:27-28: "He [Jesus] said, the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath also."

Is there any proof that John meant Sunday as the Lord's Day when he mentioned it in Revelation 1:10?

So you can't do "work" even if it's something you do as a form of relaxation or entertainment?

Yes, you are supposed to keep away from your own pleasures specifically. A burden to some, a relief to others. It's hard for me to not smoke for those 24 hours for example.

Not really, at best we have a reference from Socrates Scholasticus in the early 5th century that the Sabbath and Lord's day were separate days, apart from that it's very murky and requires use of extra-scriptural texts for either argument. There is also a (likely interpolated) phrase in Ignatius that distinguishes the two, as he tries to extort Christians to not obey the Sabbath (supposedly, if its not an interpolation).

Oh, okay. Thank you for telling me.

Also, I should add we also have the spurious "Epistle of Barnabas" which says he rose on the "8th day" which means Sunday.
