I never thought of that, then again I have not even looked into cruises yet. The way I figure it, single men who would be able to afford a cruise and go on one would not be poor men looking for a rich woman, they might even be rich men looking for a woman. I don't need a rich man since I am already rich, but a rich man might be highly educated and I am also highly educated so we'd have that in common.... Just thinking my way through this. Why not? The only thing is I'd slightly have my doubts about a specifically singles cruise - could be full of creeps looking to grab a granny for a shag .
That's a good point. Once I have solved the problem of a pet sitter I would be free to travel to other places. But a cruise, well why not? Once you have solved the cat sitter problem once, you have a solution for future similar excursions. That will give you another degree of freedom which will help a lot. In the UK, there are even commercial cat places where you take them and leave them, like kennels for dogs.
It would be more practical and cheaper to have a pet sitter coming into the house or even staying here, than a kennel since I have eight cats! We used to have a pet sitter in the past and she came in twice a day. I did not worry that much about leaving the cats then but I worry more now, even though I have a lesser number of cats.
I have the cats and my exercise to keep my body active and I have RF to keep my mind active.Hobbies are good, though. Just the cats isn't enough to keep your mind active. For years I used to row, but now that I have dodgy knees and a slightly dicky ticker, that's not feasible. But I do still sing, which gets me out, provides mental stimulation reading the score, is surprisingly physical and is also social. Plus the buzz of performance. I've been wondering about something else, maybe an evening class on botany. I go walking and would love to be able to identify all the trees and wild plants I pass. But I'm in London, where such things are fairly easily accessible. It's probably harder where you are.
No, there are not as many things to do that are easily accessible where I live since I don't live in a big city.
I am not much into social activities since I am an introvert but I like talking to people one on one, which is one reason the forum works well for me.
