I Get Why Some People Don’t Believe A God Creates And Destroys Existence In A Cyclic Pattern

I think it’s because they can’t wrap their heads around their not being an “ultimate” beginning imo. Also they have a hard time accepting their same life gets repeated exactly the same way. They think this is a no free will existence.

In order to understand God and how he works, you have to understand that there is no ultimate beginning and that there is free will even though you live the same life over and over again imo. Gods ways are not ours. All you have to do is look at God‘s infinite material nature. That explains all wonder and things that are hard to grasp imo.

Actually, Hindus do believe that the Universe runs in a cycle and gets created and destroyed periodically, but we don't believe the same life is repeated each time. Each creation is different and independent of the previous one,

I believe each creation is different and independent of the previous one too, but I still believe we live the same life over and over and over again. There’s no memory of the previous life obviously. Is that similar to what Hindus believe or do they truly believe each life is different like you could be a man in one life and a woman in the next?

Yes, we can switch gender between lives and it is definitely not the same life - different bodies, could be different race or nationality.

There's nothing to understand because none of this is factual. There are no Gods known to exist, and no facts about them. There is many versions of religious lore, and if that's what you mean you neglected to clairify this was all speculative.

God doesn't exist so this can't be true but each to their own.

It doesn't effect me if you believe in this stuff. Unless.......

.........these beliefs sway your social and political beliefs toward the 'right' side of the spectrum. Then it effects me, my family, friends and the good people of my community.

You keep sharing your thoughts on the subject of god but what about down on the ground, what are your beliefs?

And when I say 'you', I mean all the other god believers as well.

Thanks

I think, for many of us at least, a Groundhog Day type of existence just makes about as much sense as a Flat Earth one or any YEC beliefs, and that what the majority of scientists would tend to believe, from evidence so far accumulated, tends to support some particular beginning even if not known at present. Hence my views on such.

An "ultimate" beginning would include a beginning for this being you call god...

"mysteries" explain exactly nothing.

But u don’t know what causes its end and new beginning?
Hindus believe the underlying source is an impersonal unknowable being that we call brahman which is the only thing that remains when the Universe gets destroyed and out of which a new Universe is born.
