The command to make disciples does not match the promise, "you will know the truth and the truth will set you free". For anyone to be commanded to make people believe and obey God is not freedom for either the one who is ordered to make or the subject. It is an impossible work. Tell me, who is free as they obey commands?
Also, whenever anyone hears "go make" (anything), what is the hearer's first thought, in your opinion?
The command to make disciples is for the ones appointed that task, not for everyone.
I believe the whole of the Body of Christ is to preach this way,
Mat 5:14-16 (ESVST) 14 "
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way,
let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
So you believe if you follow any of Jesus' commands you aren't free? The ones with the task of making disciples aren't free?
Rom 10:14-15 (ESVST) 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?
And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15
And how are they to preach unless they are sent?
