Nah, we have a purpose. That purpose is to improve the well being of the species through our contributions to society and through our children. Ultimately that means our purpose is to achieve Eudaimonia.

If there is a universal purpose, then it would seem that the purpose must be imposed by a source outside ourselves. After all, if purpose came from ourselves, you'd expect everyone to have different purposes.
