Greetings :)

I'm brand new to this whole forum experience and I will admit it's a wee bit overwelming yet pretty exciting since I've spent the last couple of years bending the ears of everyone I know about religion in an attempt to find my own personal nirvana. I went to a Catholic school and THAT sure didn't help and as of today I am still essentially an atheist instilled with a sense of almost unfathomable wonderment about the universe. This seems an interesting place to look for answers.

If I can figure it all out I will see you in the forums lol.

Okay. 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10. I've been here an hour and a half or so most of which was spent manufacturing a magnificent (joking) reply to a post about the future of religion. Something went horribly wrong and I lost it. I could cry. I guess I haven't quite figured it all out yet lol.

This is as good a place to say it as any I imagine: As unbelievable as it might seem in this futuristic global village of ours I live in a country ruled by a tyrannical telecommunications monopoly/regime (Telkom) which has resulted in me having to utilize a dial-up modem to access the internet. To cut a long story short if there are long gaps between posts I am not ignoring anyone or a topic, it's just that I simply cannot afford to connect.

To everyone who's said hello :).

Welcome to my home. This is a really big house:eek: .
I hate it when that happens. I have dial up as well. A good thing to do whenever you are ready to post is to copy the entire thing. That way if you loose it you can paste it again with minimal time loss. It works for me when I remember to do it :D

I just started fairly recently too. I like massive debates/discussions about religion with people, but they're not always up to it. Here, they are. It's a pretty amazing way to expose yourself to new ideas and reflections. :biglaugh:
