No. I posted this because some Haley supporters also support abortion. So for them this would be a problem.

They are. Look at the chaos and the misery. Look at women dying, or having to seek medical care in moral states. Look at the lawsuits against these far right states.
Your opinion shouldn't be imposed on the citizens of a state in which you don't even live.
I didn't say it should. But you don't seem to have any response to the immoral points I made about those states.
The states can defend themselves, I don't need to.

But it has changed so much that the Democrats are what the Republicans used to be and the Republicans are just amoral thugs out to get what they can out of the system.

Key words "long ago". When stem cell research was brand new there were no treatments from using them. The experts in the field could see that it was very promising and as you can see, stem cell research has born fruit. I have a feeling that is just a beginning of what is out there right now and there is potential for a lot lot more.
Your unspecific question only merited a non-specific answer.
It appears that some of these morally bankrupt hawks are finding some success in rebranding themselves and improving their PR via their criticism of Trump. Liz Cheney did it too, and it was alarmingly unfortunate to see that some liberals joined in polishing her bloodstained image just because she opposed Trump.
Nikki Haley, Liz Cheney, Hillary Clinton, and other hawks like them belong in the trash can of history. The last thing the world needs right now is a revival and renewed empowerment of these bellicose faces.
This country can't handle 4 more years of Biden (neither can his dementia-addled brain). You don't live here and aren't suffering here, anyway.
Yet today, more than two decades later, there are no treatments on the market based on these cells.
