I never knew that I was a victim of racism.

"Donald Trump voters believe that racism against white Americans has become a bigger problem than racism against Black Americans.

The survey of 1,638 U.S. adults, which was conducted from July 13-17, shows that among 2020 Trump voters, 62% say that racism against Black Americans is a problem today — while 73% say that racism against white Americans is a problem."

But wait, there is more:

"Asked how much of a problem racism currently is, just 19% of Trump voters describe racism against Black Americans as a “big problem.” Twice as many (37%) say racism against white Americans is a big problem."

I am sorry if I made anyone else feel like a victim too.

What some people [not you] need to be aware of is that Trump's tactics was from Trump's father and himself buying into Roy Cohn's [lawyer for Joseph McCarthy of Red Scare fame] rules of always be on the offensive and never apologize. Does Trump ever apologize for anything?

Trump is a fascist who actually mimics Mussolini, intentionally or unintentionally. And if he wins in 2024, "America, watch out!".

I was in a presentation at work yesterday, a panel discussion about veterans and anti-government extremist radicalization, and one of the presenters showed some survey research results: 34% of the general public, and 27% of veterans expressed agreement with the (racist) Great Replacement Theory ideology. If you're not familiar with it, it's more popularly known as the "white genocide" theory, where immigration, abortion, and rising birth rates for people of color are causing there to be more people of color, which benefits the Democratic party, who therefore encourage it. That number was scary high to me.

Yes, when one looks at the raw numbers that believe this nonsense it is a genuine concern. Sometimes the greedy "Me first" beliefs that we get from MAGA are nightmarish. Yes, Biden won by a healthy margin, but it should have been a total wipeout. You have to know that Trump himself would support the claims about racism against whites. I can see him starting one of his rambles about how "Racism is bad, very bad. Do you know who are some of the worst victims of racism?" And certain people would lap it up.

So here's the thing to think about here.

We have a demographic with a disproportionate number of extremists who attack and marginalize others. Humans abide by reciprocity, as a general rule. When some demographic of humans is attacked and marginalized, that group is going to develop suspicion and distrust towards whatever demographic is responsible for these attacks. As well they should for their own protection. This in effect creates a self-fulfilling prophecy on the part of the attackers - their bigotry and prejudice inevitably causes their targets (and anyone who isn't a jerk just in general) to ostracize and dislike them. They might even cast this as "racism," as in the above example. It doesn't occur to them that maybe it's being a jerk and a bigot that's the problem.

Everybody suffers from racism; it’s just that white folks complain less; but that does not mean they aren’t affected. Some examples are…..

*Minorities at Berkley Blocked white students from entering the gate in an effort to advocate for safe spaces from white people. Imagine the outrage had white students done this?

*Business all over the country openly charging white people more than blacks

And when it comes to institutional racism…….

*Suppose you you get your contractor license and wanna go into business? Well if you are black, the National black contractors association has your back. They will provide opportunities to help you get started…… but only if you are black; if you’re white you're on your own.

And it’s not just contractors it’s for

Lawyers

Surgeon’s

Nurses

And others. Does it really surprise you that some people will actually see these things as racism against whites?

Unfortunately it's easier, and faster to post uncontextualized material that supports racist ideology than it is to spend considerable time to contextualize and debunk it. Each of these deserves its own thread.

Yes, this is a Gish Gallop. It is a dishonest debating technique. But since they were presented as a block they can be refuted as a block. Refuting one refutes them all. Would @Kfox agree to that? If not then try again. Present proper arguments.

What did I say that was dishonest? Instead of just calling it "contextualized", perhaps you should provide proper context. Nice cop-out BTW

Absurd. I just pointed out some things to make a point. BTW Gish Gallops don’t work for online dating because the person refuting can just pick any part of it and tear it apart, they don’t have to refute the whole thing.

No, refuting one, refutes one. If you wanna refute them all; that’s your choice but quit pretending like you can just falsely label something irrelevant because you don’t like it

I’ve already presented a proper argument, it’s your turn to present a proper reason why someone couldn’t find those things I mentioned racist.

Nice strawman. Don't misrepresent my position by putting words in my mouth. It indicates that you're arguing in bad faith.
Arguing in bad faith? I responded to the question at hand, even provided links to support my claims and all you've done in response is sling mud!

You just posted a series of article that you did not even try to support as if they were evidence. That is a Gish Gallop. That you refuse to even try to justify that nonsense tells us that you know it is worthless.

Whether I agree with the article or not, is irrelevant. My point is, the things listed in the article are examples of what some people call racist against whites. If you want to understand why someone might think there is racism against whites, all you gotta do is look at the things like what is represented in the article.

That is just your claim. The question is do those articles support it. I checked out the first one and that does not seem to be the case.

Consider how the history of black folks in America differs from that of white people; even specifically, why we have this dichotomy of "black and white" to describe people.
