I pretty much need some new shoes.

Ok thinking of 'comfort', however they have to be fairly sturdy as I'm hard on shoes. I had a pair of leather, I guess you could call them 'quasi dress' shoes once, they were quite practical all around. Aside from that, I had a nice pair of boots as well, perhaps I should go in that direction.

Repair the shoes, save the earths resources, and give the expected replacement cost to the poor old hassidic jewish cobbler so he may provide for his family. Much better concept than the American Greed is good concept of throw away the old and buy the latest from a foreign multinational who doesn't even pay tax in your country.

Cheers

Are you asking for money which I thought was against rules but I see it isn't but not because I see you asking? I don't.

Shoes? Spend the money on good shoes. You will not need to buy another pair for much longer. If I spend $150.00 on leather shoes that I like enough to wear most of the time or I spend $20.00 on shoes that aren't as comfortable or well made I will keep buying shoes for want of comfort or because the cheap ones wear out and I will have spend MORE on shoes than if I spend the $150.00.

Can I ask for money? I'm wondering. Eventually even very good shoes will wear out. At least I expect they will.
