I think about God all day

I don't care if you choose one, 5, 100 or zero.
It might surprise you to know I am not an atheist or an agnostic. I would like someone on this forum to show me God without resorting to words spoken or written by other men. But no one here seems to know God. I would hope to find God by observing the world around me. To find God using my own intuition, interaction with the natural world or by using common sense to eliminate all other possibilities, leaving only the possibility of the fact that a "God" can exist. It is doubtful that anyone posting on these forums is an atheist or agnostic, because, lets face it, this is a religious site. A real non-theist-deist would not be on this site, unless for trolling or preaching (pushing) their non-belief in a god. Would I think about God all day? Absolutely, if God did exist. And yet I find no evidence of God. And I have found no one here to point the way, except by their continuing references to holy books, not written by god but by men. I simply state facts. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder. Jesus says "treat others as you would have them treat you". In this respect you are sorely lacking.

I'm the one with a chip on their shoulder? You're the one throwing around tired old cliches such as calling religious scriptures "fiction" and saying they were created to "control people". That sounds like something an angst-y teenager would say and betrays a lack of knowledge about religion in general. You also seem confused. I don't understand what you're expecting. I don't know what you expect God to be, in the first place. How do you expect someone to "show" God to you? Do you just feel spiritually lost? Is that why you appear so angry and frustrated? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, because I've been there. I know what it's like. It's okay to feel that way. But a good thing to do would be to calm down. Instead of actively searching and trying to force it, it might be better to just shut your mind up and be receptive.

And there's many non-theists on this forum. Most of them aren't trolls.

"And there's many non-theists on this forum. Most of them aren't trolls."

And about that other option?
Most of them aren't pushy about their non-belief, as well. They simply like to discuss issues involving religion. Some of them are religious themselves, such as Buddhists.

Not really, no. I also don't think "organized religion" was specifically "created". It just developed.

To a point. But studying Byzantine history is enough to at least give you pause, I would imagine.
Constantine, and perhaps even more so his mother definitely saw the advantages of a coherent and unified religion as a means of providing social cohesion above and beyond allowing loose 'interpretations' of Christianity to spread. And took steps accordingly.
