I Think Atheists Should Have Holidays

Except those aren't atheist holidays, especially with Shrove Tuesday not having observance outside the Churches that practice it.
Meh...they say those are religious.
Xmas is really about the solstice.
Easter is about chocolate rabbits.
And Paczky Day is about nasty jelly donuts.

Solstice celebrations were religious. The solstice is quite meaningless to us today, but a long time ago it was a significant time of the year, and indeed very religious.
Easter, it too was a day of Pagan importance once upon a time before being appropriated and repurposed by the Christians (as they did with the Yule).
Paczky day, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, those are explicitly Christian to the point of lacking a Pagan version.

There are so many days that Atheists could celebrate, such as Albert Einstein's birthday, the National Day Of Reason, or some other days that are good such as the birthday of the person who founded Atheism. Atheist people could light lanterns, celebrate, have parades, or it can be a day to go out and do normal stuff.

I used to practice atheism so I can admit that there is not really a sense of tradition or grandeur in Atheism. You just do nothing. There are no gods in atheism and you do not really develop supernatural powers or do anything that isn't explained by secular logic. I guess for some people that is good but it seems that Atheists cannot cast a spell or talk to ghosts like spiritualists can.
In UK, Humanists celebrate Darwin Day on 12th February, there is always a Darwin's Day Lecture

I used to practice atheism....

This confuses me because all atheism is, is the answer to one question: "Does the person believe that there are deities?" If the answer is "no", then there is an atheist.

There are no scriptures, no tenants; there are no underlying traditions, ideologies, philosophies, etc by which to follow in order to be a "true" atheist.

Some are hedonists, some are secular humanists (quite common), some are altruists, some are rationalists. Some believe in ghosts and tarot card reading, some dive into scientism, there are Atheist Buddhists and Atheist Taoists and Atheists Witches; and we all share only one thing in common: We lack belief in deities.

What is there to practice? How do you "practice" atheism!? Did you "religionize" atheism some kind of way?

I'm happy celebrating cultural holidays.
Also, the whole notion is a bit absurd imo. It's like asking for a clubhouse for people who don't collect stamps.

I used to practice atheism

???

How do you "practice" not believing something?

so I can admit that there is not really a sense of tradition or grandeur in Atheism. You just do nothing.

lol, exactly... so the concept of "praciting atheism" is patently absurd.

I'm not even Christian and Sunday is a sacred day for me.

I work every sunday. It's the only day of the week that I actually can get some work done without clients or employees bothering me.

And besides, society is so dead on that day, there's nothing else to do anyway...

My "sacred day" is saturday. That's family day. I turn off the phone and we go out and do something together.

Im atheiest, we celebrate saturnalia for our winter holidays, the children prefer because they get more presents.

I don't really celebrate national holidays though we'll sometimes have a bbq and invite a few friends who are off work that day.

There are enough fetes or night market's going on in summer to have a good time 2 or 3 times a week...
Photo of night market or it didn't happen
