Identify the God

Kalibhakta

Jai Maha Kali Ma!
There is nothing 'wrathful' about it. That is not the correct word to use. It simply indicates that all things arise out of Brahman and dissolve back in to it. That is 'dao', the way of the world, 'ritam'. Recognize Brahman in all forms. :)

I made an error in judgment. I mistook the back of the coin and the tattoo for the front. Forgive me, I didn't say it in a very clear way o_O

I'll be honest. When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it was some kind of game.

I myself am fascinated with these sort of artifacts, including tokens and coins, both modern as well as of course the more ancient the better! But also the modern one's as well - of the Indu-Hindu arena of collections and history and Hindu religion, as well as Jainism, Buddhism, India and the entire region of Asia, Subcontinent, SEA, et all ...

I do love "collecting", in coins I have coins from India going back to the first "stamp symbol" types with odd symbols, to modern including Maharaja States, British period, and the first years of Independence, commemoratives, "temple token" coins going way back, paper money, and so on.

The temple tokens (type of coin you would get at a temple in the old days - some of these were actually struck by the East India Company) are amazing. And we have religious coins or "tokens" that are sold in jewelry shops that are very nice, too.

Cambodia has always called me, and I would have gone if it were not for the Khmer Rouge socialist mass murderers. But now they are history, and in retirement Angkor Wat is on my list to visit.

This particular coin from Cambodia is interesting in that some of the motifs are used today in tatoo parlors of Cambodia.

Of course Khmer peoples were once a Hindu civilization mixed with ORIGINAL Buddhism afterwards, and in areas of Cambodia Hinduism lives on in the remote jungles. The communists didn't kill them all, there are many places people know to go deep with wonderful waterfalls, rock caverns and caves and such. And there are more Hindu temples yet unknown. There are even Hindu sadhus.

Lord Shiva is stronger then any communist strongman. No earthly tyrant is stronger then the Lord. This is wonderful news! Jai Mahadeva! Jai Mahakali Ma!

Whether Buddhist or Hindu, I wish Combodian people the best.
Shiva, we have a small collection of copper coins, it is yours when you come to India (or when I am able to send it to you).
