Yeah, something similar happened to me one time. I once lost my wallet. It had each and every one of my picture I.D.'s in it, as well as all my credit cards and social security information. It took me nearly sixty days to replace everything. What a weird ontologic hell I found myself in. Apparently, for two months, I didn't even exist.
