As a matter of fact, I am finding this thread incredibly gratifying and constructive. It is so above average that I am getting worried about spending all the month's quote of quality talk before schedule.

If Allah and/or miracles exist, I have no doubt that such grace is auspiciously present when people attempt and succeed at talking with honesty, with good will and respect with each other. And this thread has provided a lot of those most auspicious exchanges. Those are the situations that make RF posting worthwhile.

With Columbos, Doug life experience ,I arrived to NEW result in this thread , that gays could had normal relation women, and had kids , and made family with them , and same time some of them tried to be normal .
but they could not . so they could live both lifes types (homosexual and heterosexual ) in same time.

I curious if someone succed to transfer from gay to straight , i mean a former gay .

That said, I don't think Columbus is saying that homosexuality is abnormal. But let's check this with him, of course.

Apparently the state legislature wouldn't be able to muster a veto override, but that became academic. The state supreme court ruled that denying same sex marriage is a violation of the state constitution. Christie stood down and said there would be no challenges to it.

I think Columbus when " i am not normal , i am gay " , he means about commun defination of " gay" , but he believes that he is normal . that's it .

When the first federal bill was proposed the liberals (which was lead by our now PM) were told by him that they had to vote no.

He claimed pre election that he same sex marriage was of no concern to him. ACT passed same sex marriage in their state and he immediately took it to court and it was removed as it was unconsitutional (you could not have seperate marriage laws in states).

A bill is being proposed again for federal changes to legal marriage...but I havent heard anything about it yet.

You're conflating behavior with sexual orientation. Sexual behavior does NOT define your sexual orientation. Oscar Wilde had a wife and three kids (because in the 1800s you could be sent to jail for being gay and he was when they found out) and he's a flipping gay icon.
Physical stimulation to genitals does not preclude attraction, nor necessarily includes it. In other words a gay man can be physically stimulated by a woman's hand and proceed to have sex with her. But if he does not find her emotionally, physically, sexually and romantically attractive, he's still gay. He'd still be gay even if he slept with 1000 women. It wouldn't matter. There's a reason why in studies of sexual behavior the Scientist boffins word it as "men who have sex with men" or "men who have sex with women" instead of heterosexual and homosexual or even bisexual. It's because sexual behavior is not a defining characteristic of sexual orientation. Attraction is. (That's kind of what the Ex Gay "therapy" preys upon. The lack of distinction between the two when speaking to a layman audience as opposed to Psychologists, Sociologists, Sexologists or really anyone knowledgeable in a Scientific Discipline. They then force people to conflate the two of them in order to manipulate "success stories.")

In simple terms, a man is not necessarily heterosexual if he sleeps with a woman. A man is not necessarily homosexual if he sleeps with a man. A man IS homosexual if he finds (with the exclusion of females) other males physically, sexually, romantically and emotionally attractive. A man is heterosexual if he finds (with the exclusion of males) females physically, sexually, emotionally and romantically attractive. Then you have varying degrees of bisexuality, meaning you find both binary genders attractive. Some may prefer women, some men, some squarely in between. Then you have personal identity, then you have other sexual orientations like poly or pansexual which includes (to varying degrees) attraction which includes the various gender/sex variations within our species. Then you have Gender Identity and it's variations and well..... Hopefully you see why human sexuality cannot be spoken of in terms or generalizations as you are doing in this thread? It's really really complicated.

It is important to be careful with words. The definition of the words normal and abnormal don't have a judgement in them, exactly. But people often see them that way. Saying that a person is abnormal often implies that they are sick or evil.
I am very tall. 193cm(almost 6.5 ft) That is abnormal, but it is impolite to say it that way. More polite to say unusually tall.

Of course Algerian community is different than USA , we don't have gay calling and protesting to "gay marriage"

It would have been a big problem in the USA in the past. Today it isn't. But I am sure that there are Algerians who desperately want to be accepted by people without pretending to be straight. You likely know some of them. They are not going to tell you this if they are afraid.

Gay people can pretend to be normal. But it eats away at your soul. The way it would if you had to pretend to be happy with a guy. It is like being in prison every day and you will never get out until you die.
What makes it worse is that you are surrounded by happy people. They meet ladies, get happily married, they can do whatever they want to and they don't even appreciate how lucky they are to just be normal.
It can make you crazy.

Well only one was my child.
Doug had eight.


Far worse was when his 18 y/o daughter was killed by a drunk driver while she was 8 1/2 months pregnant with his first grandson. Little Troy was buried with his mother.

Doug was a mess for months. About all that pulled him through was his granddaughter Bethany. She was in the wreck too. She was barely a year old. She gave him someone to focus on.

Individuals with an uncommon sexual orientation, especially the intersex, suffer from an undue amount of social pressure which is the root cause of many other individual problems such as suicide.

Bisexual is not intersex and not even intersex actually possess both organs that could mean hermaphroditism.

I read his post in the exact opposite manner intended and thinking I was defending people I knew have suffered was actually damning someone down who deserved no such thing.
