If God created everything why didn't he create it perfect?

FDRC2014

WHY?
If life had a designer, and the designer was perfect, why isn't all life perfect?
Why is our trachea ventral (infront) of our oesophagus, (posing the risk of choking, meaning we have to have an epiglottis).
Why are our retinas inverted (i.e. the rods and cones point the wrong way round).

Why do biological proteins not always work efficient, e.g. RUBISCO has an oxygenase activity (an evolutionary accident).
And following from that, why are not all plants the more efficient C4 (or CAM) plants (most are C3).
Why didn't god just make them all the more efficient C4?

There are many more examples of imperfections in life...

All of the above can be explained by evolution, but why would a designer do this.

The same reason why he buried all those dinosaur bones for us to find later, to mess with our heads.

Who says this designer did not use evolution?
Except for creationists.
But still, deity =/= creationism.

And why would this creator's creation have to be perfect? Don't understand why that would be, from an outsider's perspective.

Very valid point.
Though evolution does not require any need for a God, once life has begun (up until then it is still only hypothesises).
The creator would not have to be perfect, if the creator is your own creator. But most religions presume that god is perfect, if you admit that he isn't then this point can be moved on.

Because then we wouldn't have anything to complain about. Further, who in their right mind would call G-d nice?

Where Is God

Creator
A perfect person can not create anything imperfect, because his creation would lead him to be imperfect. So anyone who believes that God is perfect, must believe that everything about this world is perfect, even the killing, sexism, racism, fascism, and all the other isms.

Depends on your definition of perfect. Does it need to be perfect in every way, or just perfect for the creator's purposes?
If you can do the latter, why not bother with the former?

Only if perfection is the intended goal. That's probably not the case.

Logically perfect.
Just like a spoon isn't logically perfect for cutting meat, but it will do the job.
Life is like that.

mysteries are more perfect. ;)

Why is our trachea ventral (infront) of our oesophagus, (posing the risk of choking, meaning we have to have an epiglottis).
Where would some of our facial muscles and lingual muscles attach? it helps that bone or addam's apple.

Why are our retinas inverted (i.e. the rods and cones point the wrong way round).
to protect from radiation and parasites.

Why do biological proteins not always work efficient, e.g. RUBISCO has an oxygenase activity (an evolutionary accident).
too much of something is always bad. compromise compromise.

And following from that, why are not all plants the more efficient C4 (or CAM) plants (most are C3).
compromise. C3 works why waste energy making a good them extra?

Why didn't god just make them all the more efficient C4?
mysterious. It's no fun if things are well.

then show one thing in life that is "perfect"

Abstract Art.

The Gnostics explained this by assigning an imperfect god, the Demiurge, to the creation of Man and the Universe, which is what we attempt to free ourselves from on a spiritual plane.

- from Reality of Rulers (Gnostic Gospels of Nag Hammadi)
"It is Samael and his fellow 'rulers' of the Darkness (Eph.6:12), not the true God, who formed Adam's physical body, set him to work in Paradise, "to till and cultivate it" then put him to sleep and fashioned his female partner out of his rib.

Look, If you can do better, then do so. If you can't, then just admit it and get on with your life.

I agree. Evolution is already an adequate explanation. Some deity concepts are not in contradiction with evolution, but they don't really add a whole lot of explanation to the picture.

If life is imperfect, which it is, then various options include:
-there are no gods, so why would it be perfect?
-god is not perfect. Rather skillful, maybe, but nowhere near perfect.
-god is perfect but chooses to make things imperfect and cause suffering

I find the first option the most plausible and requiring the fewest assumptions.
