I've always thought of God as being one vast eternal mind, and that we ultimately exist only within his imagination, so in a way I suppose that would be a simulation. But if there is no God, then we are still left really in a mentally simulated world since nothing is really anything like our brains perceive things to be. We can never really know a thing in its true self. Our perceptions are little more than "physical metaphors", representing an external reality we can never really see or touch.
