I believe that masturbation is grave matter. If it is done with full consent of the will and knowledge that it is grave matter then it is a mortal sin and you will go to Hell for it if you die without repenting either via an Act of Contrition or by going to Confession. That's my opinion.

Grave? In what way? Who/what does it harm?

Which is psychologically more stressful: masturbating when you believe it is wrong and repenting OR masturbating while recognizing that it is a good thing and like anything good, too much can be counterproductive?

I haven't been masturbating for some time now, and i fell the urges coming. I tried to use people's advice "get busy" and stuff, but it just comes anyway eventually. I'm gay so i'm most definitely will never be married. So my only option is to "hold it in" for the rest of my life? considering that adultery is a sin and masturbation is a sin, it's really hard to stop the cravings for masturbation. If you think how many people have sex (out of marriage) and masturbate everyday, you'd wonder where is this world coming to. some people believe in just masturbating and asking God for forgiveness, but you can't ask and be forgiven every time you do it, i assume. So what's by best option? i was thinking of castration - but seriously NO. I just don't want to make God any angrier than he probably already is and at the same time satisfy myself.

I don't believe masturbation is a sin. THe biblical verse usually referred to has to do with filial duty and not with the act itself.

I believe everyone has God given physical attributes. One must eat. One can't simply stop eating becasuse the result is ****. As Jesus said some were meant to be married and some not. I believe it is more important to find out what Jesus wants and do it.

Anyway are we talking of Gehenna or Sheol?
If the first then you can visit it as it is a nice park in Jerusalem.
If the second; it is just a bad emotional state.

Hades, the lake of fire inside the mantle of the earth. The NT uses Greek not Hebrew.

Will you go to hell? Yes. But that's where all the interesting people are.

I'll say! Hell has people like Gandhi, John Lennon, Neil Armstrong, Albert Einstein, Laozi, Marie Curie, Carl Sagan, Susan B. Anthony, and Voltaire... While Heaven will be stuck with Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and Fred Phelps.
