I'd agree. You get to choose what you label yourself as

edit: As long as you had some form of belief in Jesus as at least a wise teacher

I'd take your word from it, but then if you revealed that your beliefs were entirely different or contrary to what I define a "Christian" to be (i.e belief that Jesus is the son of the God/God personified and that the Bible is, in whole or in part, inspired by or directly attributed to God) then I most probably wouldn't call you one.

Why should i agree with the defination of person who's just defining christian on the behalf of beliefs insted of sure ?:)

What is the difference between "Some form of belief" or "Total belief" ? don't you think both are incompleate to define a true christian ? :)

I guess Jesus Christ would have to take a central role in your religious beliefs and/or practices.

Your guess is sweet, But i cannot continue any debate on the behalf of guesses.

loll.. i would have waste the total energy, and at the end you may say.. it was just a guess. :)

Then perhaps you should start your debates with a clearer premise.

Than there would be no need of any debates. :)
The existence of RF proves you wrong. Plenty of people manage to present clearly worded ops with a strong premise that go on for hundreds of pages.

I don't care to be proved as wrong.
lol.. I don't need hundred of pages, i just want satisfactory reply to my question. :)

OK, what was unsatisfactory about the answers you got?

Nobody likes to be proven wrong, that's got nothing to do with it.

You don't have to. Nobody has to agree on the definition of anything. But the whole point of words, definitions and language is trying to communicate something accurately to another person. If we all independently decide that every words means whatever the hell we want it to, we can't effectively communicate. There's no doubt that everybody has their personal definitions of certain terms, especially when it comes to the highly subjective field of theology and religion, but if you're going to use a word it makes sense to anybody else that that word is supposed to have a particular meaning. If you call a spade a shoe, all you're doing is confusing other people, so don't be surprised if someone hands you a shoe to dig a trench with.

No, I haven't because you haven't actually responded to any of them with anything more that "that's nice." That wasn't my question.

My question is why you aren't engaging the people who did bother to answer the op in any meaningful fashion.

OK.. Jesus was the son of God/God personified, BUT.. How this is linked with me being a christian ?
Supppose any terriost would have a been agreed with a belief that jesus was the son of god, or so and so as you said, Than will you call such person a christian ? :)

will you be agree ? if yes than its OK , If No, Than why ?

I will agree to call you a Christian most of the time. Probably. But I might not really think of you as a Christian.

Or I might think of you as a Christian sometimes but think of you as a non-Christian at other times.

How about you? I don't believe that Jesus actually existed, and I think that the Bible is the worst thing to happen to humanity in centuries. But I kinda like the idea of a wise fictional teacher to deliver the Sermon on the Mount and such.

If I call myself a Christian, will you agree?
