Love your guns or hate your guns, they have, or should I say the owners of guns, have caused so much suffering in the world, I know I was one who suffered.
Of course I would, but if all had guns, there would be bullets firing everywhere, there would even probably be more casualties.Would you have shot back in defense if you were able?

Yes of course that's how it is, but many more people own cars than guns, Oh, a police officer, all respect for you, I wanted to be a police officer but they wouldn't take me because of a gunshot injury.I am sorry for your pain.
"owners of guns" says it all.
Some owners of guns.
As a police officer I saw FAR more death and suffering due to drivers of vehicles
both sober and intoxicated.
A friend who was a State Patrolman was killed and made into a bloody rag by a
drunk driver.

I don't recall anyone making that argument.
No one that I know of has ever said he represents all gun owners (The image is a stupid pro-gun straw-man), however, his ownership of an AR-15 does represent the gun problem in the USA. Far too many firearms of this type---semi-automatic rifles whose magazines can hold up to 100 rounds of ammo---whose only true purpose is to bolster its owners sense of masculinity. No serious hunter opts for an AR-15.

Na, its ok, I was shot by someone along the highway just out of my town while driving, the bullet almost blew my lower leg off, the police never found the jerk, the caliber was said to be a 303 bullet.Gunshot injury???
How awful. I'm deeply sorry for that.

That's bad, I am on and off crutches after 30 years of being shot, everyday I think about it, it has caused me to be paranoid, and yes, I also have schizophrenia, but I am happy.Damn! That would produce a horrific wound.
I knew a woman who was shot by her stupid boyfriend.
The man shoved a high powered rifle under her seat from behind and the
"unloaded" rifle fired almost removing her entire leg below the knee.
Numerous surgeries and a year of rehab and she almost walks o.k. but
has terrific pain for life.
I suspect as she gets older the pain will get worse. I hope she dumped the idiot.
