If This Isn't Love, Then to Hell with Love

Flowers? Rainbows and baby bunnies? Those are some of the only things I can think of which fit the atmosphere of this thread.

Teddy bears and blue skies? Speckled puppies in a little red wagon? A five year old girl in a red satin dress with the bow in the back?

I would just like to say that I am happy to read that you have found someone
Mr_Spinkles. You have found someone that makes you happy and weak at the knees.
After all these years of being with carrdero, I still feel the same way as you.
Every second, every minute, every hour that I am not with him, I feel incomplete.
I know how you feel. For someone like Ceridwen to be able to show you how to open
up instead of keeping things to yourself shows that you have found someone that has
made you comfortable with life and understanding everything around you.

Happiness to both of you

I think its beautiful that you have found someone that can give you that much happiness and that you can express that hapiness. My blessings to you both. May you remain truely happy.:)

Congratulations and be good to each other. First loves are the most special and sometimes the most lasting. While I didn't go on to marry my first love (for many very good reasons), I still love him in a way - and he remains a friend. You share a certain rawness and intimacy with that very first person whether or not you are with them for the rest of your life, or just a period of your life. Its a very special and exhiliarating experience to be treasured. So, be good to each other, good luck and good times.

See? ****Îáíá**** Khalil
That is an Arabic name. No one is called Kahlil. And I come from his country, so I'm pretty certain. No, I'm 100% certain!!!!!! I saw his museum. I saw his name in my Arabic book. And it's.........KHALIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rearing Arabian -
Do you understand that just because you have seen a name spelled a certain way in one place, that does not mean that it cannot be spelled similarly (but not exactly the same) in another place?

I can guarantee you that if his name is spelled KAHLIL on the cover of his books (with God knows how many in print), that THAT is the way he chooses to spell it. I know that you are still in your teens, but for goodness sakes, you have to learn something - the first person to come to you with a story is not always infallible, nor is there only one truth to everything.

Woof.

Well, I have to admit that I'm beginning to have my doubts about my own argument. I have found two copies of "The Prophet" with Gibran's first name spelled KHALIL and one copy with it spelled KAHLIL. I also have another book of his with his first name spelled KAHLIL. No two of these four books are by the same publisher.

I did an online search, and have found it spelled both ways, repeatedly.
Perhaps he doesn't even know how to spell his own name, or the publishing houses don't know. Perhaps the name is spelled both ways. Heck if I know.
