If you could make something illegal, what would it be?

Odd to say this, but using religious doctrine to create laws.
Even though its impossible to do, it would be nice to have that law.

that and random pointless threads, j/k ;)

Urinating. The thought of people walking around trying to hold their pee to avoid being fined amuses me :D

This is tough, there are so many things I'm against. I guess, off the top of head, it would be hoarding wealth. I think making that illegal would have the most positive effect on the most amount of people in my country. It's not the worst thing I can think of but the one that effects the most people, so if I could pick only one thing, that would be it.

What? Me worry?
Drivers doing less than the speed limit in the passing lane. Also drivers with little dogs in their laps.

Political donations, perhaps, or maybe bombs or war materiel.
How about banks larger than state institutions, income > 1M/year or ownership of more than 2 media outlets?

I think it would be to make campaign contributions for any and all entities, other than individuals registered to vote, illegal. That means it would be illegal for PAC's, special interest groups, ALL organizations, including all religious, business organization, unions --everyone, except individual people.

I think technology has come far enough that any candidate could have a website and focus upon the issues at hand, and their positions on them, without needing to provide the corruption incentive for our representatives to represent special interests for the purpose of political financial support and/or personal gain.

I would probably go with polluting rivers, aquifers and streams. That would certainly slow down the national embarrassment that is the Alberta tar sands.

You might want to put a cap on those donations, though, or the rich individuals could still buy the elections.
The two Koch brothers, for example, could drop ten or twenty million on a candidate and never even miss it.

I would make trickle-down wealth illegal.

I would make abuse illegal (pretty sure it is already)

Any type of weapon (worldwide), but that would be pretty hard to do

So cannabis, alcohol, food, exercise, sex, etc.?

I utterly abhor cannabis and alcohol. All drugs, really, regardless of how legal they might happen to be. It disgusts me to even be reminded that I exist in a world that has such a thing as a concept of recreative drug.

What about the others? Are you implying that they are comparable? That is odd, although you are hardly the first one to attempt such a comparison.
