ok,so you admit that the quran can prove, why don't you believe in it? don't think that believing in the quran means "handcuffs" or something,on the contrary it means the ultimate in freedomMalus01 said:That's the possibility of the Quaran proving it, not you.
Please state where I admitted it proves anything. I said "The possibility".ok,so you admit that the quran can prove, why don't you believe in it?
But you specifically said that, if we did what Allah wanted, he would give us everything we wanted including becoming Gods ourselves.now, jerry, only understand that we're creatures, ofcourse if i was a God,this would have been nice, but i'm not and no one is,i only came to understand this simple truth and i perceived that i can be a God and have everything i want only through slavery to the only true God,when Allah wants,he doesn't "want" like us(because we always want something we need),Allah wants through his mercy and generousity to give us everything
No reply to something tht you stated? Seems common practice for you in this thread.no reply
it seems you have a very wrong idea about islam,i don't know from where you got it,but i think that's from crap books and movies by islam detractors,i don't know what's that poligamy,i can't even find it in a dictionary, now it seems debating using replies wont do,i'll tell you like i told Luke Wolf,we have to debate using a chat programJerryL said:But you specifically said that, if we did what Allah wanted, he would give us everything we wanted including becoming Gods ourselves.
This obviously poses some rather internal conflicts. The first, of course, is that we cannot have anything we want if there are limitations; as we could want there not to be a limitation (such as having to give Allah what he wants). The second set of internal inconsistancies concerns the ability of a diety to come back in time and thereby invalidate scripture.
I think you are better with the "women are sold off as wives by their brothers, you can have four, and if they are not polite and well mannered you may beat them". The D/s top in me thinks that's making Islam sound tempting... but I'd have to give up pork, and I'd likely have to move for the poligamy thing. (I can do it now, but not with a legal marriage). The access to a society of entirely D/s relationships and submissive women sounds like fun.
i invite you with Luke Wolf and JerryL to debate using a chat program,is this ok with all of you?Malus01 said:No reply to something tht you stated? Seems common practice for you in this thread.

Poligamy is having more than one wife.it seems you have a very wrong idea about islam,i don't know from where you got it,but i think that's from crap books and movies by islam detractors,i don't know what's that poligamy,i can't even find it in a dictionary

Why not? This is a thread for debating. I think it works better with a forum, because we don't have to be online at the same time. I, along with many other RF members, have participated in debates on RF, and they went smoothly. But if you insist on chating, my AIM name is VampirikWolf. Just send me a message if you catch me online, and at my computer. If my name is listed as being on a mobile device, it means I am probably at work, so that wouldn't be a good time.now,Luke Wolf,we really have to debate using a chat program, because this ain't gonna work here
many people (including islam detractors) interpret the verses of the quran as they like,in order to reach their own goals, but this is not gonna work because the quran doesn't make the unjusts gain anything but lossJerryL said:Poligamy is having more than one wife.
"I think you are better with the "women are sold off as wives by their brothers" - http://www.islam.tc/ads/default.php
"you can have four" - "Marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with them, then only one or one that your right hands possess. That will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice." (Qur'an 4:3)
"and if they are not polite and well mannered you may beat them" - Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly that you don't break a bone nor harm thier body); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance): for Allah is Most High, Great (above you all). - (Quran 4:34)
Which would you consider the Quran itself? Crap books, movies, or Islam detractors? That's where I got two of my three charicteristics.
And no, I have no interest in debating in chat. Have fun there if you like.
Then you just reply here at your "chosen appointment".and at a chosen appointment
Any yet you offer no actual rebuttal of my interpretation, nor any alternative interpretations.many people (including islam detractors) interpret the verses of the quran as they like,in order to reach their own goals, but this is not gonna work because the quran doesn't make the unjusts gain anything but loss
That makes no sense (post at times you appoint for yourself), but is irrellevent as I have no interest in chatting and so will not be participating.about chatting this would be much more comfortable for me,because there are times i'm tired, sometimes i'm busy,so i prefer to debate using a chat program and at a chosen appointment
I don't believe I've ever rushed you to answer.Mujahid said:ok jerry,i'll answer your questions inshaAllah, but please give me sometime, because i'm not always ready for that kind of debate
