If you were God, what would you do?

I am god, and to be honest, humans are just one of my failed experiments that I was too lazy to erase. I'm busy with the experiments of mine that worked now so shoo off or I might change my mind about the erasing :tsk: !

Ouch; this is where I put my foot in it.

I am coming more and more to the conclusion that God is not a 'she' or a 'he' - or for that matter an 'it'.

I am begining to go down the Tao line; God is busy working around us everyday, in humans, in animals, in plants. God is nature.

OK. But you haven't answered the question.

I have; but you did'nt notice......God is energy, God is growth. Everyone of us humans, animals, plants are all 'part' of God. God is everywhere. God is permanently working everywhere. Maybe even a bit of him is typing this answer.

Whoever, or whatever, God is, if YOU were God, what would you do?

O.K, I am with you now (sorry, I thought this was a serious debate) ; for some reason, I am feeling rather 'serious' today.

If I was God, I would make every single bullet, bomb, nuclear plant on earth become immediately inactive. they would be totally inert.

I would pick up the leaders of all the nations, put them in a room together, and tell them that they could only come out when they all agreed to cooperate, and to work in unison for peace.

I would make sure that there is enough for every human and animal on earth to eat and to drink for everyday of their lives. I would make sure that every single human has the same opportunity in life.

You see, this is where it gets out of hand.......I would want to banish pain, sickness anything negative, but I realise that would be absurd. Oh blast! I wish I hadn't answered this question in the first place.

Rich, my friend, you are a bully.:biglaugh: (Of course, I am joking)

I can see them now, dropping like flies as they'd rather be locked in a room without food and water than cooperate - or would you plan to use your Divine power to prevent them starving and dehydrating, thus prolonging the torture? The day the politicians start cooperating is the day hell freezes over and as I don't even believe in a place called hell, we'll be waiting a while.

THIS QUESTION IS WRONG.BECAUSE GOD MAKES EVERYTHING IS GOOD.
42.Say (O Muhammad to these polytheists, pagans, etc.): "If there had been other âliha (gods) along with Him as they assert, then they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne (seeking His Pleasures and to be near to Him).

I suppose you are right; I was trying to come up with ideals, but life is not about ideals. I guess even with inert bullets people would go back to using swords.......oh heck, what would you do, James ?

If I was god I wouldn't exist, and I wouldn't like to put myself in the position of not existing :areyoucra

I have absolutely no idea, to be honest. I don't believe that it's possible for man to fully grasp who God is and if I can't put myself in His shoes how can I answer the question? I wasn't knocking your ideals (I think they're fine), I just had this amusing vision, when reading your post, of a bunch of starving politicians locked in a room all waiting for one of them to pop their clogs so that they could start carving steaks off them. You can probably tell that I'm not much of a fan of politicians!

In what way does being a Christian prevent you from holding the viewpoint that God is positive energy, that God works through humanity, that God is very present in nature? Many, many Christians believe those things about God.

On a lighter note: What would I do if I were God? I'd stop wondering what I'd do if I were God...after that, I don't know...

That is an OUTSTANDING post, Michel! Frubals to you. (As if you really need any more. ;) ) By the way, I do consider this to be a serious debate, even though it is a hypothetical one.

If I were a hypothetical god like the Abrahamic one, I would probably extinguish people completely by blinking them out of existance, rid the world of all man made invention, replenish the earth, and just watch the animals.

Good answer! I can't say I disagree. Humans continue to destroy the wonderful environment with which they were blessed.

Frubals to you.
