What if the most insulting thing you could do to a person in your culture was to cover yourself in honey, and stand in the forest while yelling their name.

Then it would be a more realistic outcome of insulting someone, I suppose.

I'm pretty sure that's an Iowan thing, I mean, I know I've done it before...

If that were the case, then yeah it would be a realistic outcome. Let's say it is... perhaps it is, that has no relation to the extreme story of the boys eaten alive by bears. It's not the actual outcome of mockery, and so nothing is learned from this metaphor. It'd be different if they were caught and were punished by guilt and apologize.

Why aren't you asking Jews that? Why single out Christians? As a Christian, I believe my God died a torturous death on a cross for a pathetic species that didn't deserve it - us. Are you willing to do that?

Why did the perfect omnipotent God create us so pathetic? Why did God require a human/divine sacrifice to himself in order for him to do anything he wanted for this species?

If your God died, he should still be dead. He was dead for 2 days and then walked around as if nothing had happened. There are children below the age of 5 who die more torturous deaths every single day than what Jesus was said to have done on the cross.

When speaking from the popular hierarchy most relate to, then sure. Some species are more superior than others.

That doesn't change the fact though. All men were created equal, right? Why does Israel get more rights and protection?

Like I said earlier.....What kind of God would create THAT?

I agree a creation is a reflection of it's Creator.
Like a display of art is a reflection the mind and heart of the Artist.

You worry an episode long past.
No doubt some details are missing.

Bears are territorial and protective.
Wrong place at the wrong time?
Maybe a cub nearby?

As for dealing with Something Greater...consider the Greatness first....

Sharks are definitely superior swimmers than me; I can swim backwards however.


It is said in some places that men are created equal, but we really aren't all treated equally. Are babies who are aborted inferior to us?
