If you were to convert to one of the Abraham Religions, which one would you choose to convert to and why? (Purely hypothetical!)

I chose Judaism, but mainly because my good friend Lenny Schwartz always said I'd make a good Jewish mother. ;)

Conversion to any of these religions would be a biiiiiiiig stretch at this point, but Christianity is most likely, simply out of familiarity.

Let go
Judaism.
It was a difficult choice between Islam and Judaism - essentially Sufism versus Kabbalah, respectively. Normally, the division shouldn't exist, but since a choice must be made, Judaism is the best one.

Is there a reason why any of you wouldn't pick Christianity? Could you explain your reasons why (I am truly serious on knowing, and I'm not trying to convert anyone).

Reason, and reason again
I chose Christianity. In my opinion the New Testament is the only redeeming factor about the Bible, and I could see myself a universalist/unitarian Christian. In fact I already consider myself a philosophical Christian.

Find them all ritualistic and more to mans liking…
Islam on at least trying to defend Yeshua case, yet making it worse in terms of ritualistic behaviour....so none as they are all the same.

Are you an atheist? If not, please do not respond, thanks!

It depends on what you're referring to as "Christianity." In some forms, I think it can be quite awful. In others, I find it quite inspiring. Though that's true of the other options besides "Christianity" as well.

Out of the choices you gave, no. However, I would much prefer a different path than the Christian one, since I regard it as too self-sacrificing and too world-hating, and there is the issue of one's honestly nonbelieving loved ones either going to Hell for eternity or at least being prevented from joining one in Heaven. A God would could create human beings with omniscient foreknowledge of this would be an evil God, and not worthy of worship. None of the religions you've mentioned strike me as having a thoroughly good and admirable God.

I would not want to chose any. If I had to I would just fake Christianity because it would be the easiest but I would never believe it. I don't like any of the Gods in these religions. I don't think it would be possible for me to convert to any of them.

I've already been down that road, and I didn't find what I was looking for.

Purely hypothetically, ;) , I would pick Christianity, because I appreciate the selfless love for others that is (or should be) its practical foundation.

But I don't think I have ever, or will ever, "choose" what to believe, if I can help it, at least. I can't choose what I believe any more than I can choose what day it is. Ideally, one should believe things because one judges them likely to be true, not because one hopes those things are true or would like them to be true. In that sense, I can't "choose" to believe in something any more than I can choose to delude myself.

Well it's like picking between lies, lies, and more lies. But my Jewish friends have always seemed more tolerant to me than anyone else. I don't know a ton about Judaism, but they don't have any crazy prophets yet that I know post Old Testament, so seems like the best choice to me. However, this is like choosing between getting shot in the elbow, kneecap, or hip to me ya know?

Not trying to be insulting, but it's like asking an anarchist whether he would be a Marxist, Communist, or German National Socialist.
