If you were to choose one of these three....

Which Abrahamaic religion would you (purely hypotheticaly) convert to?

I wouldn't convert to any of them, but since "none of the above" wasn't offered, I picked Judaism. We're not talking Haredi Judaism here, we're talking Reconstructionist. :D

I think, if you're not following Christ you can't really be concidered a Christian.
A Christ-i-an is a follower of the Pharisee books John, Paul and Simon....A Follower of Christ has no labels; peacemakers are called the Children of God.

Is there a reason why any of you wouldn't pick Christianity? Could you explain your reasons why (I am truly serious on knowing, and I'm not trying to convert anyone).
At the root of it, I think all three religions are about morally equal, but Islam and Christianity are doing more harm at the moment than Judaism, so it would be slightly easier to sign up with the Jews.

I can think of five religions off the top of my head that I'd be more likely to convert to than any of them, though -- and those aren't very likely themselves.

Am I still considered a Christian if I believe in their God, but follow Lucifer?
The god of the Christians is the same as the god of the Muslims and the Jews. Therefore Jews and Muslims believe the god of the Christians; yet, they're not Christian, are they?

btw, I'm not an atheist, so I didn't vote in the poll. But if I were atheist, the choice would be obvious. I'd convert to Judaism since more than half of the Jews whom I know are atheist. :p

Other then what I am, probably Judaism. It's very much connected to what already believe. Especially the more conservative movements.

If you were to convert to one of the Abraham Religions, which one would you choose to convert to and why? (Purely hypothetical!)
If you exclude non-Abrahamites from answering, there's only two choices for anyone. Anyway, if I'm allowed to answer from my beliefs when I was a Christian (and still happy with it), I'd choose Islam, because male genital mutilation isn't compulsory according to its books.

lets asume that these three religions are truely from god and that is shares the same god. i would choose islam coz its the latest edition in the series of books written by god. which completes the other previous books.

<perhaps we should move this out of the Atheism forum>

Actually, I wanted it here to ask the atheists how they felt without the Christians and others attacking them for their beliefs, or as it is, non-beliefs.

I think I would choose Islam, because in its pristine form I feel it is one of the most tolerant and ethically-sensible religions.
