If your house was on fire, what would you grab on your way out?

Well I been told I shouldn't keep all my keys on one ring so that if it were lost I wouldn't lose them all.... but I just prefer to be careful and not lose them.
A bit OT, but earlier this year, I started carrying a spare key for my van on my house key ring after I locked my keys in the van.

Since then, I've found it especially handy: my van pre-dates power locks, so if I want to open the back hatch, I need a key. Having two keys on separate rings, I don't have to take the key out of the ignition to do it. That way, my wife can listen to the radio, or the air compressor can keep going filling up the air matress (if we happen to be camping) or what have you.

I'd grab my mobile phone and call the fire department.
Or call the insurance company and wait a while before calling the fire dept. ;) Depending how bad the fire was and how good my insurance is.....

How would you get out of the handcuffs, Nick?
Hopefully Heather and Violet would find it in their hearts to undo them before they run out of the bedroom. If they don't wish to uncuff me, I'd at least hope they'd lather me in butter so my burning alive will be somewhat enjoyable.

Ok, let's see, once my son, my 5 cats, 3 dogs and snake are safe...

1) Well.. I GUESS Jay....... on second thought, I'd probably let him burn.
2) My stereo system (I've been building it since I was 13. It's BIG and expensive and consists of more junk that I don't even use than you could even imagine, but goddamn it, it's my beautiful little baby, and it WILL be saved before Jay).
3) My vinyl (as in records, you preverts) collection.
4) I suppose I couldn't save all 2000 of my DVDs, so I'd save my signed (by Sid Haig) copy of Spider Baby, my Dario Argento autographed 25th anniversary edition of Suspiria, my limited edition Halloween box set, my Rock n Roll Highschool signed by Marky Ramone... and a couple of others that have been signed, but I'm not going to make the whole list.
5) My Guitar
6) My Wii
7) My Living Dead Dolls (if I had time)

Id open my windows and throw out my film (developed negatives of my movie, "Macabre Tales"), and my computer (which has hours of digital footage on it). The cat will run out on his own, no doubt. Besides, catching him would be harder than escaping the blaze on my own! :D

Having lost almost everything before in my life, the things I would be most concerned with, after the children and us, would be pictures...framed, albums and even the computer towers for the pictures and writings on them. I have a shoe box of what few momentos I have of my lost daughters. I'd grab that too. Everything else...replaceable. Done it before, could do it again.

I'd grab Quagmire first. After all, you should always haul the largest beer container out of a fire first.
