so, sometime between 6:00-7:00 I will have electric currents running through me (Electroconvulsive therapy) till I convulse and have a siezure. It is to treat shizoaffective disorder (Bipolar with symptoms of schitzophrenia). It's suppossed to leave me with a headache and memory loss. Please take two seconds out of your day to pray a two-second prayer for me is all I ask...if I get healed I hope to help others

My best wishes, my hopes and prayers are with you.

Well, first treatment is done. It made me more depressed at first. I felt tired, had really miserable intrusive thoughts in my head, thoughts of self-harm, memory problems. Laid down for a couple hours. Now I feel almost back to normal and can't wait for my next treatment! Praise Jesus! I think it works! :) but that could be placebo affect. Lord only knows :D

If you ever need a tune up, would it work to just pee on an electric fence?
Or would the wrong organ be affected?

Check out www.mindfreedom.org and their campaign to stop forced electroshock worldwide. You have the right to consent or not to, but furthermore you have the right to informed consent, i.e. know possible risk and potential discomfort and you have the right to refuse, no matter what your local government says, no court should have the right to order you to shock treatments. You also have the right to a self paid independent evaluation, (2nd opinion.) if you understand your rights and consent to the recommended treatment, send me your full name and your fathers full name in a private message and I will pray for your full recovery. God bless.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy. O wait, you are have shock treatments. Anyone got a good joke?

I remember when I was in psych lockdown, a woman was having a series of shock treatments and she never remembered who I was coming back to the unit. It was creepy. I wish you well.

It truly does help. I would recommend it. After the 10th treatment there is a noticeable difference. Other people notice it as well.

It does mess with some of your memory so just decide what you value more, being upbeat and happy, or having a sharp memory.

If you are depressed and nothing seems to help it, I strongly recommend shock treatments. Only two of the treatments gave me a headache.

The barbiturate feels great as well. :D

It's definitely way too late now, but I would have advised against having something like that done. Avoid anything that causes memory loss.
