I'm so hardcore religious

... that I pray before I brush my teeth first thing in morning

... that I'll eat a bowl of holy cereals

... that if I took a loudspeaker and shouted "I'm religious!" in public, it would be accurate

... I feel God pulsating throughout the universe

... I'm hyper sniffing religious cocaine

I am curious about those holy cereals.
Where would one buy those and do they taste...heavenly?

Nothing wrong with that. Sounds like you're a happy person too. God is pulsating throughout the universe but most of us are more dull to it.

Namaste,

Can i respectfully ask "Why"?, this is a legit question, i just want to know why people are so religious that they feel like you do, maybe you can shed some light.

I'm totally unreligious. Time for Swami Bhaskarananda's story, (Chicago Ramakrishna Mission,) I think) for those who haven't heard it. He and his brother monk were walking the length of India, a common sadhana for sannyasins in their youth, a trial by fire (penance) sort of, only robes, danda, and begging bowl. But for that order, in pairs. (More likely to be done alone). So they come to a large hill temple, let's call; it Palani. An old frail woman is hobbling along, on her way up, not going fast. After a brief huddle the monks decide to offer her a lift, by crossing arms, and making an arm chair. Such service, such duty, many karmas to be worked out.

When they offer the ride to the frail old woman, she yells at them ... 'Go away! I do this every day!"

Lesson in humility received.

So who knows who is religious or not?

Simple.

I'm discontent with life.

I have no endeavour/profession that I like.

I have been slacking tremendously in terms of prayers.

This hyper religious facade stirs me to worship God.

Namaste,

Thanks for the reply, can i ask a few more questions, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.

I'm discontent with life.

Why?

I have no endeavour/profession that I like.

Why not?

I have been slacking tremendously in terms of prayers.

What do you mean by Prayer?

This hyper religious facade stirs me to worship God.

Why do you want to worship God?

Don't have to give details, and i hope im not intruding. I am just curious.

Discontent with life is prerequisite for mumukshutva.

Anyone who is gleeful with life is a hopelessly trapped within it.

Anyone who is discontent with the material is ripe to seek the spiritual.

This is Shankaracharya's own pov.

I am assuming here you are talking about Vairagya (dispassion, non attachment), and if you are then discontent is not the right word or attitude for Mumukshutva. From what i understand we get Discrimination (Viveka), Dispassion (Vairagya) & Desire for freedom (Mumukshutva) by the practice of Karma Yoga. Now Karma Yoga is not equal to discontent, discontent in life makes one have the feeling of lack (Dukha) in life, while Karam Yoga is doing our actions with knowledge and understanding that our actions have consequences so we need to have better understanding of actions and results. Being discontent would mean that i don't understand that my Karma Phalla is not in my control, that i only have the right to Karam and not the Phalam.
