I think you realize that not only the US fighting them, but several countries combined, but still Taliban is fighting
and the IS is fighting, so if that can be done fast, then what waiting for?

It would require troops occupying every neighborhood, door to door fighting, and soldiers coming home in body bags for fighting a war that isn't our business to fight.

That isn't what the west wants to commit to because it is an Arab civil war on Arab soil, so it should be Arabs who are the primary people taking care of it.

If it were happening on American or European soil, then much more severe measures would be taken, but it is a civil war thousands of miles away, so they want the people of those nations to take care of it.
