1.It's obvious there is an intelligent designer.
2.I think it takes a lot more faith to believe in macro evolution than it does to believe in a designer.
3.Have you seen life created from non-life?

1. What is it that makes an intelligent designer obvious?

2. There's no need to "believe" in evolution when it actually happens.

3. Nope, I have not, have you?

Your question is defective because BOTH the existence and the non-existence of God are equally objectively unproveable!

That's why religions are called "faiths": because they're subjective endeavors.
Historically, I think that religious "faith" meant more the trust that God (or whatever the religion worshipped) would fulfil his promises, not that God was unprovable.

Anyhow, the OP didn't ask for God to be demonstrated or verified, he asked for a reason to believe that could be demonstrated or verified. Even the existence or non-existence of God is unproveable, we still end up having to take some position on the issue; hopefully our basis for that position will be as solid as we can make it, even if it doesn't give us 100% certainty.

Greetings! :)

[T]he OP didn't ask for God to be demonstrated or verified; he asked for a reason to believe that could be demonstrated or verified.

All right; then I would say the profound benefit both to the individual and to humanity & civilization generally that is provided by belief and participation in certain religions (mine included)!

Peace, :)

What benefit(s)?

(Better late than never, eh?) :)

  • A high moral and ethical standard to live by, promote, and maintain.
  • Constructive spiritual preparation for the Next Life.
  • Promotion establishment, and furtherance of a spiritually-based, ever-advancing civilization.
  • Disparagement of warfare and other negative acts and attitudes.
to name a few . . .

Peace, :)

At the time nothing of God is observable, but probably because this universe is so large that almost anything's likely to exist out there.

I think it is simple, really. God is simply incomprehensible to the Human mind. Us mortals view everything on Earth as having a beginning and an end. But, in God's realm, there is no beginning and no end. Once you have attained this Knoweldge it would cause any Mortal to vomit. Heavy stuff. Nothing like " enlightenment " ...

So, no worries! All of us will meet God someday. I view life as a test. You either pass the test or fail it. I often think to myself " thank god I never did anything really bad in my life " because no one can escape God's judgement. It literally sends shivers down my spine when I think to myself that nothing escapes God. :faint: Thank god I am not going to Hell. Allah Akbar for that!
