This summer has been very hot in India. Temperature in Delhi has crossed 49 C, i.e., 120 F - the worst in 122 years. But electricity is holding at least in Delhi. And thank Allah, my grandsons have summer vacations in college and school.

The humidity in Calcutta this year is more than 80%. I sweat like crazy but the locals around me are suited to this climate.
Have to take showers 3 or 4 times a day.
I try not to turn on the A.C. because i'm a cheapskate. :D

Yes that is indeed hot.

The climate is definitely warming.

I've seen articles about the heat in India and Pakistan that discusses the temperature/humidity limit compatible with human life. Sadly I think India is one place where that limit could be reached early on.

Wow that's even hotter than we get in my neck of the woods (although not that much hotter). But at least we have a dry heat. My understanding is that the humidity is higher in India.

We're running out of water in the American West.

Humidity kills when it's hot. Literally.

Bahrain was awful in the summer. 110F, with 75-95% humidity.

You need an ice hotel.

Are water rationing rules in effect? I've heard Lake Mead is extremely low.

I know they've imposed some restrictions in California. Where I live, not so much, although the idea of water conservation has always been prevalent in our desert community. In contrast, Los Angeles has been like a big sponge and incredibly wasteful with water. While we have desert landscaping on most properties, the Angelinos want lush green lawns like they're living in the East. They even water the hillsides of freeways, which is totally wasteful and frivolous.

Lake Mead is getting dangerously low.

Thank Allah? Nah! Global warming or Karma for buying Russian oil.

That sounds horrible. What's the humidity level? I hope you're not hitting wet bulb conditions.
It is an absolute dry spell. But rural areas are appreciably less hot.

But Global Warming is a hoax
I do not know. As per reports, it happened 122 years ago too. :)
My understanding is that the humidity is higher in India.
Humidity is high along the sea coast, and we have 7,516.6 km of sea-coast. Otherwise, Indian interior is tinder-dry. We get respite if we get 'western disturbances' from Afghanistan and Pakistan. There has been just a small one during this summer.
You need an ice hotel.
You are right. Even the Himalayas are hot this time during the day. Going to hill stations is not going to help. One will still need air-conditioners.
Thank Allah? Nah! Global warming or Karma for buying Russian oil.
We buy less than what Europe does, only about less than 4%. :)

But Global Warming is a hoax

That’s right, it is a hoax. Hot temperatures were not called “global warming” 122 years ago or more when the temperatures were just as high. Hot temps don’t point to global warming if the hot temps were experienced long before now.

Neat.

Then why is the weather more extreme then it was 35 years ago?

I’d say because we are very near the end of the age, the rapture, tribulation period, and return of Christ and the earth is experiencing the birth pangs Jesus and Paul spoke of are occurring..

..For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Romans 8:22

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Matthew 24:4-8

That's vaguely apocalyptic? I'd rather be more optimistic.
