I went to see it last night. Good movie. Predictable as heck but still a fun ride. Kate Branchet is smokin' hot too. LOL!

those movies always stretch the truth. kind of ironic because archaeologists are supposed to dig up the truth. also ironic that theyu've put h.ford on some archaeological board when his movies stretch the truth.

there's nothing suspicious about the hp actor being stabbed. he was just a small role actor, went to out one night, fights happen in pubs sometimes, got stabbed.

Of course. It's a fictional fantasy. I'm still not entirely sure what you found offensive, and I understand that you don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet (myself included), use the spoiler tag thing that covers the selected text:

Edit: I guess the code is broken?

Okay, this is really freaky, so you have to give it a try.

Try putting the title of this latest movie to the Star Wars theme song, as if lyrics. It works!

"Indiana Jones... and The Kingdom... of the Crystal Skull..."

Or how about a death match between Rambo and Rocky?
At least with the latest Indiana Jones' film, he is depicted as older character, since it supposed to take place in the 50s. They didn't try to make him look younger.

*sigh*

It is a fictional movie, with fictional character. What do you really expect?

It's not about real-life archaeology; Lucas is a film producer/author, not an archaeologist. Lucas is paying tributes to 30's style action heroes of old movies. A bit of magic here and there in the scripts don't hurt it, because it is about adventures and fantasy.

I loved Stargate SG1 series, but I don't take all the mythological and historical figures that they portrayed to be in any way "accurate".

With fiction such as these, it's not about accuracy, but entertainment.

I enjoy it when a director can do both. Or more specifically, when I'm entertained and seriously questioned on my thoughts. That's why Kubrick and Hitchcock are Gods to me.

As for the Indy movie I really enjoyed it, but I think I can see why some people would get their panties in a twist over it.

It's the interesting point that this is the only Indy film that doesn't present some mythological/theological power at hand. In a way the film could be viewed as atheistic, save for the one scene where you see the Ark of the Covenant in a box.

tech problem: hmm...spoiler option doesn't seem to be working. Anyone else having that problem?
