Inference and Assumption

the exegetical process isn’t necessarily concerned with the spiritual realm. Rather, it’s concerned with the physical realm of deciphering what has been written. Only when we know what’s written can we discern spiritual meaning.

So you say....
There are thing that are written down and there are things which are not written down..by this takes Spiritual discernment to understand what the Spirit of God is saying in the Spiritual realm..

anyone can recite and quote

interpretation is why people come to forums

and here you are

and yes.....earth IS substance

The earth maybe of substance..
But this is not what Genesis 1:2,
means or is referring to..
When something of this nature does not fit into your physical realm of thinking..you throw it out..all because it surpasses your physical understanding..

If it’s not written down, it can’t be exegeted. Exegesis is a process that parses out writings. That being said, exegesis also takes under consideration clues within writings that imply things not specifically written. But again, it’s a very physical, cognitive process.

@Faithofchristian
One of the things I like best when reading the Word of God is when the Holy Spirit illuminates the Word and it comes alive. God speaks like that and so great when He does. An example of that is when I had this hatred towards my Dad and had no idea where it was coming from.
“Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
I read this verse and the Holy Spirit said that’s why you hate your Dad, he corrected you and you hated him for it. I repented at that moment and was healed, went downstairs and asked my Dad if I could make him a sandwich, we are good now in our relationship. Just amazing.

That is also false.
Do scholars lie for their opinions to be true?
The reason there are different theories is because evidence supports various ideas.
It's what we call circumstantial evidence.
Dogmatic claims are merely cries for one's ego.
Whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

I don’t see the discrepancy other than I trust God’s Book more than man’s interpretation.
There is no discrepancy in what you see either. Archaeology does not prove anything related to the time of the Israelite's settlement.
Opinions do not prove anything either, which is why debates ensue between numerous scholars - even those in "the same camp".

It proves that no culturally diverse group was present. That discounts the whole coming into Canaan from the outside thing.
Wow. Some scholar you are. What's the use of having credentials with thinking like that?
Dogmatic assumptions about circumstantial evidence. Wow.
Some people's egos are busting.
That's all I have to say.

You should get up to date information because what I’m seeing is archeological evidence of Canaanites in the land. Interesting that Israel is a state when they were scattered as well, just like God said. So great to have an accurate record, The Bible.

Perhaps you’ve said too much already...
