What is your favorite beer?
Oooh good question, one which is worthy of great consideration!
I love a variety of beers and ales, such as German wheat beer in the style of Frantziskaner, pale Belgian ales such as St. Bernardus Tripel, Bazelet amber ale from Golan brewery in Northern Israel.
But most of all I like home brewed beer, there is simply no better alternative, taste or qualities.

Come on! anymore questions?

Single malt or blended? how many weapons am I proficient with? How far into Egypt have I travelled? With how many nationalities did I have sex with? :D
anything? I'll deliver! ;)

Your religion has been changed to "Old gods" lately. Which are the gods you are refering to and what does it mean to you?

I have strong sentiments for world myths, tricksters, and the gods that roamed our earth, from Stonehenge to Giza, even if they existed only in the minds of people. While I'm an atheist, I love a good myth, a good story, and a good crazyness in general. I have sentiments for Eris and her apple of discord, for Hathor and her alter ego, for Greek heroes such as Odysseus, and I would love to be there at the end of it all, at Ragnarok, when Fenrir and Odin battle it out in the final war for the world of man.
I also love the urban fantasy genre, and injecting old myths into a modern narrative, when man realizes that there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in his philosophy...

What was the most dangerous experience of your life?
Being shot at by snipers, realizing they hit my friend who was next to me, and having to carrying him to safety under fire. Surreal is an understatement for that experience.
He was incredible during the whole time though, he remained calm and talked to me about what he was going through in a very lucid way.

Oh, I see. That makes lots of sense to me, since I really love all old gods too.
While we are at it. One of my favourite books on the subject is American Gods, and I'm pretty ecstatic about the fact that HBO is making an adaptation for it.

You're kidding me! It's the best book I've ever read! I knew Gaiman was doing something for HBO, but he's been a bit cryptic about whether it's about American Gods or not. I'm a bit scared about the actors. I have really strong images of how all the characters look like and here comes someone who's likely going to ruin it for me forever.

I think some optimism is in order. HBO are professional, I love their adaptations and the general atmosphere of their series. Generation Kill was good, and True Blood is just fun as hell.

The Game of Thrones is wonderful too. They had George R. R. Martin (the author) himself as a one of the co-creators, so it couldn't be anything else than good. I hope they're going to do the same with American Gods.

I have high expectations. Also the movie adaptation for Stardust left a taste for more! Gaiman's material just screams for cinematic and television adaptations. It's fresh, smart, contemporary, and highly visual, even in the form of literature.

Have you seen the movie adaptation of Coraline? It's a children's book, of course, but all Gaiman's work are worth it. I read the Sandman not so long ago and the brilliance of it blows me away every time. The wonderful drawing technique combined with Gaiman's narrative is beyond words. If you haven't read the comics, you really should.

I wanted to watch it forever now. Of course I read the book. ;)

I read a collection of short stories about the Sandman world, but you're right, its long overdue for me to read it.

Bolivia, Peru, Cambodia, the Sahara, Japan, and Iceland.

What is it about these countries that draws you to them?

You mentioned Iceland...Are you a fan of Bjork or Sigur Ros by any chance?

What is it about these countries that draws you to them?
I want to trek the forests and visit the archaeological remains which lie in Peru and Bolivia. I want to experience the culture, landscape and archaeology of Cambodia. I love the desert and I love trekking the desert, and the Sahara is an ultimate desert. Japan is pretty mind bogging and I want to sample it. And Iceland has some spectacular natural phenomena.

You mentioned Iceland...Are you a fan of Bjork or Sigur Ros by any chance?
Yeap I actually like both, but it's not the reason I want to go to Iceland :D

Do you have any special licensing as an archaeologist? What kinds of "hookups" do you have in that sense? What does it take to officiate an archaeological expedition?

Do you have any special licensing as an archaeologist?
My first university provided two field courses in which you spent a couple of months in the field and trained in excavation and running an area in an excavation.

Money :D
