When a boy enters puberty he is going to have some certain "reactions" that he cannot control. I can see why the older brother dropped nudity.

As a liberal I voted no, the child is happy and outgoing, and he can choose to wear clothes if he wishes. That being said it would be awkward around teenage years when even the slightest breeze can give one a boner.
I have a vivid memory of me being 5 years old
I was at my aunt's country-house, in Sicily...and I was playing in the garden...catching butterflies.
Then...all of a sudden I got lost, and ended up in a backyard...not that far from the house.
Then I saw my 20-year-old cousin having a shower in an outdoor shower, without curtains...and he was with his eyes covered with shampoo ....so he did not see me.
It was the first time that I was seeing an adult male fully nude and I remember I remained with my mouth wide open, amazed and blushing before so much.....
In that moment I understood I would have liked males and only males for the rest of my life....
back to the topic: nothing wrong with nudity

They're raising their kids to consider nudity non sexual; to consider unclothed bodies unremarkable. What's this going to do to the economy -- and not just the obvious porn and t**ty bar industries, How are you going to sell sports cars, motorcycles or boats without connecting them to scantily clad models? What about the fashion or swimsuit industries?
It's unamerican!
They're raising their kids to consider nudity non sexual; to consider unclothed bodies unremarkable. Just the minimum that doesn't get uncomfortable to other people.
Besides, how else do you go to sauna if not naked. Maybe a swim too... well for the prudes out there wear appropriate swimming clothes...

Not as far as nudism at least. It's healthy and your skin will thank you for experiencing outdoors... I wouldn't go full nudist though, personally.

Or live so far up north that the sun isn't very dangerous. It's only for a few hours where I live during summers that you need to avoid it...
For the record, it doesn't take puberty for that. Those "certain reactions" have been happening to every boy since before birth...sort of the body's way of rehearsing.
And there may be a lesson in that...if the way our bodies express the inner us (as with blushing, or erections, or any of the myriad ways react to what's happening around us and in our own minds), should that be considered a bad thing? Heck, if a boy pops a woody, don't you at least know a bit more about what's going on in his mind? I mean, you know a somebody's embarrassed if they blush, so why not know that they're interested, too?
I don't think that Alex is being "abused," per se, but I think there should be some concern about whether he's being given enough understanding about what he might face living in a world that's larger than just that small nudist community. I think it's important to learn how to be comfortable in whatever situation you find yourself in, and for most of his life, the people in those situations will probably be dressed...and expect him to be, too.

I tried it once many years ago. Of course it was a rural area and it felt really nice. I can see where the saying came from when you're nude, you want to run through the daisies. Heh.
