While searching for information on the American civil war, I found this hilarious article. Perhaps it has some truth in it, perhaps it is some one with a sick idea. What do you think of this article?

We Americans are now engaged in a New Civil war, testing whether this nation, conceived and dedicated as we are, will endure.
Take a moment to let this fact register in your mind. This is not a metaphor or a figure of speech--we are currently in a civil war against domestic political and economic forces that are killing us and destroying our nation.

The actuality that a great many Americans are unaware of this new civil war does not change the fact: un-American, power-mad forces are sending thousands of Americans to their death and devastating our nation as we speak.

From all available evidence referenced in the "recommended sources" section below,* it's clear that the most compelling hypothesis explaining the interconnected crimes, lies, and human slaughter occurring in our modern world is that a demonic cabal took control of the United States in the early part of the twentieth century and is now methodically destroying American and world institutions and values. The main goal of the cabal has been to consolidate political, economic, and social power in its hands while obliterating the minds of the masses to establish a militaristic, imperialistic dictatorship.
By designating this cabal as "demonic," I do not imply that there is need for hatred, anxiety, or hopelessness. It is simply the situation that this cabal has seized control and we need to face it and get on with the business of overcoming this cabal and bringing about fundamental change in our society. We should not simply sit about idly theorizing or smiling at the devastation of human beings in our society. Something must be done!

The purpose of this expos?of the cabal is to help American and world citizens see who and what is controlling events from behind the scenes, to assist in making clear just what kind of demonic forces are bringing about the destruction of American and world values and institutions. It's clear that many people are so possessed by the current reactionary brainwashing that they will be unable to consider any of these ideas. But people throughout the world are waking up to what is going on and they need to see behind the curtain to the real, criminal powers that manipulate human minds and destroy human liberties. We need to see the real face of our enemies.

The U.S. invasion of Iraq to loot its oil and politically restructure the Middle East, is part of a policy of military imperialism that the American and British ruling circles have been engaged in for several centuries. The American revolution was fought to bring the United States under new, non-British rulers, with the new regime sold to the public as a democracy. Beginning in the twentieth century, these American ruling elites have revolved around the Rockefeller, Brown, Harriman, and Morgan family dynasties. The Bush family, beginning with Prescott Bush, have served as satraps of the Rockefeller, Brown, and Harriman interests.

The American and British rulers have a new imperialistic strategy by which they hope to gain total control of the world's energy supplies and the strategic Eurasian land mass. First, they sell armaments to a regime (for example, Panama, Iraq, Yugoslavia/Kosovo, Afghan/Pakistan/Taliban Mujaheddin, Saudi Arabia). Then, they demonize the regime to which they sold the armaments and declare war on it (e.g. Panama Invasion, Gulf War, UN Kosovo war, Afghanistan war, Iraq War). After the war, they station permanent military bases in the country and use the military bases to control the energy resources in the surrounding countries. Current U.S. foreign policy is governed by the doctrine of "full-spectrum dominance": the U.S. must control military, economic and political developments everywhere.

Some times, I really wish that all these supposedly highly intelligent people who advocate the oil empire theory could be simply being just wanting to be commical and they are not actually telling what is truly happening.

There may not be really a single force behind on this oil empire thingi, but if only half of the reasoning is true, this is really a terrible world to live in.

I am not advocating ignorance here. I have derived quite a bit of amusement from conspiracy theories myself. Here is one more bit to try on for size-do not forget the value of disinformation. And then there is the much more subtle and effective tactic of mixing a good deal of truth with a lie or two for good measure. "A littlle bit leavens the whole..."
I do think it is dangerous to try and take on power structures. So if that is your aim and intent it is important to have your facts straight. The stakes in this could not possibly be any higher.:cover:

Unlike the far off conspiracy theorist, I do know people who are ready and prepaired fror a new Civil War to break out. These people have enough ammo and people to last throughout a war lasting several years. One of the head people have decided to give the winner of the '08 election 2 years to improve things before he starts marching, and shoot if necessary.

"shoot at if necesarry?" This is the danger contained not in any 'real' political structure but in the very abstract construct itself. What is there to shoot at? This is a media construct and nothing more. The only thing to 'shoot at' is a symbol that is viewed on a television screen or numbers delianated as 'ones' or 'zeroes' that are contained on the screen before your eyes.

If a conspiracy exists, and the general notion is that Democracy is a joke-there is one idea that should be addressed. Perhaps a nation is sent the leaders which it most deserves. Instead of driving obsessively toward a new war we should all be asking ourselves how we have contributed to the current state of affairs.
