Is astral projection and lucid dreaming the next step in spiritual evolution? If your answer is yes. Please explain why you think that.:)I ask this because I like studying what people into the paranormal think about stuff like this.Because I am methodist.

I can't give you a definite answer to your question, Frank, but I can share my personal experience with astral projection and lucid dreaming. I've experienced astral projection three times in my life, and it's been several years since the last time it happened. I've also had dreams where I knew I was dreaming, and I tried to wake up. I thought I was awake, only to realize that I was still asleep.

Are these two particular phenomena the next in spiritual evolution? I'd say probably not, but I honestly don't know, I'm only sharing my opinion, but I don't have a definite answer for your question. FWIW, you ask very thought provoking questions, Frank.

I think such things will be more common as mankind evolves spiritually. However, I would not call it the next step in spiritual evolution though. I think love and detachment is a better sign of spiritual evolution.

These experiences, along with other strange things that happen to us, certainly compels us to know more about them. The more we know, the more we become familiar with our true nature as spirit beings and also with the unseen spirit world that operates beyond our range of vision. I mean we all have to start somewhere, right. :=)

Give up identification with this mass of flesh,
as well as with what thinks it a mass. Both are intellectual imaginations.
Recognize your true Self as undifferentiated awareness,
unaffected by time (past, present or future) and enter peace."
- Adi Shankaracharya

Were did you find this quote?:)

Umm i found it while doing a google image search.

I'm a student of Hindu monism (Advaita Vedanta). Its founder was a sage named Shankara who lived probably in the 8th century AD. and wrote many commentaries on the Hindu scriptures. The quote in my signature is from him too. The hindus believe that we're not the physical body but actually spirit. :=)
