Is being stupid a sin?

A person generally cannot help their intelligence level. Say that a person is born mentally retarded. They cannot necessarily help that so no, being "stupid" is not a sin.

This is what I think also, but jimbob said that he's doesn't mean in cases of retardation. However, even if someone is not retarded, we all have different intelligence levels. This is how God brought us into this world. We all got bodies best suited to our purpose here on earth. If someone is wilfully ignorant and continues to do wrong things although he/she knows it's wrong - that is a sin. However, stupidity implies: low intelligence level. Intelligence is at the level of the mind. We are not the mind nor the body, we are spirit. Someone can be stupid (low IQ) and be wise. Wisdom comes from the spirit - knowledge of the higher self.

I know I have said this before in this thread, but intelligence doesn't matter, kindness does.
Ignorance is not stupidity as a lot of people in this thread have pointed out. Stupidity is being unable to learn, ignorance is not learning even though you can learn.
As a Christian, I know that Jesus talked about people doing all they can in at least one parable, about living to their potential. Even an atheist can see the benefit of living to one's potential.

Nope, yet to be stupid and then say you follow that thing is, as in if you declare you can steal another mans righteousness as your own, then on two accounts you are stealing and also think another righteousness can cover your own….so that is purely stupid……then if you decide to drink wine as if blood and that God would sacrifice any living thing, then really people like this need wiping of the face of the planet which according to them same texts, God might do if we cant get them to understand why that is so wrong and stupid to begin with.
