Is Buddhist practice higher than Taoist practice?

I can say from experience, that taoism can lead rapidly to full enlightenment.
Never have I read or heard anything like that from Buddhism, except regarding the Buddha himself.
Taoism can provide a direct route, with no intermediate stops.

It's great value is in its utter simplicity. If nothing happens, you hadn't done it right. If you did it right, you'd know.

The key is to completely suspend the mind. For it is the mind that renders opaque the wonder of Reality.

Other religions may say: "Oh, you're only on the Xth. plane..."
But in truth, any plane other than enlightenment isn't anywhere significant.

Naturally it helps to be the living incarnation of Lao Tzu, but even if you aren't, you can attain the heights he did.
And still does.
