Yes but they depend of the mathematical formulation of the theories they are derived from and stand or fall on the evidence that supports said theories. The Penrose–Hawking singularity theorems, for example, depend on general relativity being true, and hardly anybody thinks it actually applies in those circumstances. Theorems are not the basis of science, evidence is and the theory of evolution has that in abundance.
